Film Polyester
Polyester film or PET is produced from polyethylene terephthalate resin and is an extruded tentered film. During the manufacturing process the molten polyethylene terephthalate is extruded on a chill roll, which consequently changes it into an amorphous state. Drawing for biaxial orientation follows this process and then crystallization (heat set) takes place. This particular process is very important in the production of Polyester film as it prevents the film reverting back to its initial state. Molecular orientation is also secured at this stage giving the film its tensile strength.
Polyester film comes in a variety of thicknesses and coating combinations and gives a high quality performance, which is often superior to other substrates.
A Warne has spent many decades working closely with their suppliers and has created strong partnerships to ensure that only the best quality Polyester film is supplied for their customers’ requirements.
Polyester film can be supplied to suit many different applications and the film can be produced with a scratch resistant and anti-mist coating.
Polyester film is often used in packaging, lamination, stationary, adhesive labels and window packaging.
